Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre (Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre) is the patroness of Cuba, venerated since the early 1600s when her image was found floating in the Bay of Nipe by three fishermen caught in a storm. Shown in her traditional blue, she is petitioned for protection, guidance, and blessings over family and home, and in Santería/Lucumí tradition she is syncretized with Ochún. This 10-inch cast resin statue, with the fishermen's boat at her feet, is a devotional piece for the home altar.
